Go Lean Health seeks a Medical Virtual Assistant (MVA) for a remote, part-time role. The position focuses on insurance verification, claims processing, and billing support to maintain clinic operational health. Excellent English, proactive problem-solving, and independence are essential.

The role requires strong attention to detail, ability to manage workflows, and capability to work with a busy provider and care team. Prior chiropractic clinic exposure is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Medical Virtual Assistant.
• Experience supporting a US healthcare practice.
• Experience with insurance verification, EOBs, claims, denied claims, patient balances, or billing support.
• Exposure to CPT and ICD-10 codes.
• Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Must be a Mac OS user.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Proven leadership, ownership, or high-accountability experience in a previous role.

Responsibilities

• Verify patient insurance after check-in and document information.
• Review denied claims and assist with reprocessing.
• Review and process EOBs and clear backlogs.
• Track outstanding balances and coordinate resolution steps.
• Assist with claims processing for Cigna and VA.
• Coordinate vendor payments when needed.
• Monitor SOAP note completion and communicate concerns.
• Track missed/cancelled appointments and trends.
• Prepare reports on balances, appointments, backlogs, and metrics.
• Support smooth communication between provider, care team, and staff.
