Job summary

Go Lean Health is seeking a highly capable Medical Virtual Assistant (MVA) to support a busy chiropractic clinic. This remote role focuses on insurance verification, claims processing, and billing-related tasks with strong English communication and ownership.

You will manage workflows, monitor SOAP notes, track appointments, and generate operational reports while maintaining data accuracy. The ideal candidate works independently, is detail-oriented, and can build trust with the care team.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience as a Medical Virtual Assistant.
• Experience supporting a US healthcare practice.
• Experience with insurance verification, EOBs, claims, or billing support.
• Exposure to CPT and ICD-10 codes.
• Strong English communication skills, written and verbal.
• Must be a Mac OS user.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Proven ownership and accountability in previous roles.

Responsibilities

• Insurance verification after patient check-in; ensure accuracy and documentation.
• Review denied claims, identify reasons, assist with reprocessing.
• Review and process EOBs; clear backlogs and ensure accuracy.
• Review outstanding balances; coordinate next steps for resolution.
• Support claims workflows; track and escalate as needed.
• Assist with vendor payments and check payments when necessary.
• Monitor SOAP note completion and compliance; flag gaps.
• Track missed/canceled appointments and trends affecting revenue.
• Prepare reports on balances, missed/denied items and metrics with insights.
• Facilitate smooth team communication; keep priorities aligned.
