Job summary

Go Lean Health seeks a highly capable Medical Virtual Assistant (MVA) to support a busy chiropractic clinic remotely. This role requires sharp, proactive, detail-oriented individuals who can own clinic workflows with minimal supervision.

The ideal candidate will think ahead, identify gaps, and remove administrative and billing tasks from the provider’s plate while maintaining excellent English communication and professional presence.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Medical Virtual Assistant.
• Experience supporting a US healthcare practice.
• Experience with insurance verification, EOBs, claims, denied claims, or billing support.
• Exposure to CPT and ICD-10 codes.
• Strong English communication and professional communication style.
• Must be a Mac OS user.
• Strong attention to detail and follow-through.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Proven leadership, ownership, or high-accountability experience in a previous role.

Responsibilities

• Verify patient insurance after check-in and document accurately.
• Review denied claims, identify reasons, and assist with reprocessing.
• Review and process EOBs, clear backlogs and ensure accurate documentation.
• Review outstanding balances and coordinate resolution steps.
• Support claims workflows, including Cigna and VA claims.
• Assist with vendor payment coordination and ensure timely completion.
• Monitor SOAP notes for completeness and compliance.
• Track missed/cancelled appointments and scheduling trends.
• Prepare reports on balances, missed/canceled appointments, and other metrics.
• Facilitate team communication and ensure task alignment.
