Job summary

Go Lean Health is seeking a highly capable Medical Virtual Assistant (MVA) to support our busy chiropractic clinic's operational health. You will own key workflows, verify insurance, process EOBs, manage claims, and coordinate payments in a remote setting.

The ideal candidate is sharp, proactive, detail-oriented, emotionally intelligent, and able to take ownership with minimal supervision. Excellent English, executive presence, and strong accountability are essential for success.

Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of experience as a Medical Virtual Assistant.
Experience supporting a US healthcare practice.
Experience with insurance verification, EOBs, claims, denied claims, patient balances, or billing support.
Exposure to CPT and ICD-10 codes.
Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
Strong executive presence and professional communication style.
Must be a Mac OS user.
Strong attention to detail and follow-through.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Proven leadership, ownership, or high-accountability experience in a previous role.

Responsibilities

Verify patient insurance after check-in and document accuracy.
Review denied claims and assist with reprocessing.
Review and clear EOB backlogs and ensure documentation accuracy.
Track and resolve outstanding patient balances and account issues.
Support claims workflows for payer types and escalate as needed.
Assist with vendor payment coordination and timely processing.
Monitor SOAP notes for completion and compliance.
Track missed/canceled appointments and scheduling trends.
Prepare reports on balances, appointments, denials, and metrics with actionable insights.
Coordinate with provider, care team, and admin staff to ensure task completion.
