Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year experience as Medical Virtual Assistant.
• Experience supporting a US healthcare practice.
• Familiar with CPT and ICD-10 codes.
• Strong English communication, both written and verbal.
• Mac OS proficiency and professional communication.

Responsibilities

• Verify insurance information after patient check-in and document updates.
• Review denied claims, identify reasons, and assist with reprocessing.
• Process Explanation of Benefits (EOB) and clear backlogs.
• Track patient balances and coordinate resolution steps.
• Support claims workflows, including Cigna and VA claims.
• Assist with vendor payments and check processing when needed.
• Monitor SOAP notes for completion and compliance.
• Track missed and cancelled appointments to spot trends.
• Prepare reports on balances, missed/cancelled appointments, EOB backlog, and denials.
• Coordinate smooth communication between provider, care team, and admin staff.
• Identify workflow gaps and suggest practical improvements to billing and operations.
