Job summary

Go Lean Health is seeking a meticulous Medical Virtual Assistant (MVA) to support a busy chiropractic clinic. This remote role emphasizes proactive problem solving, ownership of billing workflows, and clear communication with the provider and care team.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of MVA experience, familiarity with US healthcare billing, CPT/ICD-10 codes, and a strong command of English. Mac OS proficiency is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Medical Virtual Assistant.
• Experience supporting a US healthcare practice.
• Experience with insurance verification, EOBs, claims, denied claims, patient balances, or billing support.
• Exposure to CPT and ICD-10 codes.
• Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Must be a Mac OS user.

Responsibilities

• Verify insurance after patient check-in and document information.
• Review denied claims and assist with reprocessing.
• Process EOB documents and clear backlogs.
• Review outstanding balances and coordinate resolutions.
• Process claims including Cigna and VA; escalate when needed.
• Assist with vendor payments and ensure timely completion.
• Monitor SOAP note completion and accuracy.
• Track missed and canceled appointments and trends.
• Prepare reports on balances, missed/canceled appointments, EOB backlog, denied claims, and other metrics.
• Coordinate with provider, care team, and admin staff to share updates.
