Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year as Medical Virtual Assistant.
• Experience supporting a US healthcare practice.
• Experience with insurance verification, EOBs, claims, denied claims, patient balances, or billing support.
• Exposure to CPT and ICD-10 codes.
• Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong executive presence and professional communication style.
• Must be a Mac OS user.
• Strong attention to detail and follow-through.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Proven leadership, ownership, or high-accountability experience in a previous role.

Responsibilities

• Insurance Verification: Verify patient insurance after check-in and ensure information is accurate and documented.
• Denied Claims Management: Review denials, identify reasons, and assist with reprocessing.
• EOB Processing: Review and organize EOBs, clear backlogs, ensure documentation accuracy.
• Patient Balance Resolution: Review outstanding balances and coordinate resolution steps.
• Claims Processing: Support workflows for claims, including Cigna and VA claims.
• Payment Coordination: Assist with vendor payments and ensure timely completion.
• SOAP Note Monitoring: Track SOAP note completeness and compliance.
• Appointment Tracking: Monitor missed/cancelled appointments and trends.
• Reports and Operational Tracking: Prepare reports with insights and recommendations.
• Team Coordination: Facilitate clear communication among provider, care team, and staff.
• Operational Support: Identify gaps and recommend workflow improvements.
