Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Medical Virtual Assistant.
• Experience supporting a US healthcare practice.
• Experience with insurance verification, EOBs, claims and billing support.
• Exposure to CPT and ICD-10 codes.
• Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Must be a Mac OS user, with high attention to detail and accountability.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and show ownership.

Responsibilities

• Verify patient insurance after check-in and document results.
• Review and reprocess denied claims and track follow-ups.
• Process EOBs and clear backlogs with accuracy.
• Resolve outstanding patient balances and coordinate next steps.
• Support claims workflows including Cigna and VA claims.
• Assist with vendor payments and ensure timely completion.
• Monitor SOAP note completeness and compliance.
• Track appointments, trends, and scheduling impacts on revenue.
• Prepare operational reports with insights and recommendations.
• Facilitate clear communication between provider, care team, and staff.
• Identify workflow gaps and propose practical improvements.
