Job summary

GoLean Health is seeking a capable Medical Virtual Assistant to support a busy chiropractic clinic. The role emphasizes proactive problem solving, ownership of clinic workflows, and strong English communication, working remotely from the Philippines.

The position focuses on insurance verification, billing-related tasks, and operational support with a performance-based raise after 6 months. Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of MVA experience, exposure to CPT/ICD-10, and the ability to work

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as Medical Virtual Assistant
• Experience supporting a US healthcare practice
• Experience with insurance verification, EOBs, claims, denied claims, patient balances, or billing support
• Exposure to CPT and ICD-10 codes
• Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal
• Must be a Mac OS user
• Strong attention to detail and follow-through
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Responsibilities

• Insurance Verification: Verify patient insurance after check-in and document information.
• Denied Claims Management: Review denied claims and assist with reprocessing.
• EOB Processing: Review and process Explanation of Benefits documents and clear backlogs.
• Patient Balance Resolution: Track balances and coordinate resolution steps.
• Claims Processing: Support claims workflows and escalation when needed.
• Payment Coordination: Assist with vendor payments and ensure timely tasks.
• SOAP Note Monitoring: Monitor documentation for completeness and accuracy.
• Appointment Tracking: Track missed/cancelled appointments and trends.
• Reports and Operational Tracking: Prepare reports with insights and recommendations.
• Team Coordination: Maintain clear communication between provider, care team, and staff.
• Operational Support: Identify workflow gaps and propose improvements.
