Go Lean Health is seeking a Medical Virtual Assistant (MVA) to support a busy healthcare clinic remotely. The role requires sharp, proactive, detail-oriented individuals who can own clinic workflows with minimal supervision.

The MVA will handle insurance verification, denied claims, EOB processing, patient balance resolution, and claims processing, while coordinating with the care team to improve operational efficiency. Excellent English and Mac OS proficiency are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Medical Virtual Assistant.
• Experience supporting a US healthcare practice.
• Experience with insurance verification, EOBs, claims, denied claims, patient balances, or billing support.
• Exposure to CPT and ICD-10 codes.
• Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Must be a Mac OS user.
• Strong attention to detail and follow-through.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Proven leadership, ownership, or high-accountability experience.

Responsibilities

• Insurance Verification: verify insurance after check-in and document details.
• Denied Claims Management: review denials and assist with reprocessing.
• EOB Processing: review and backlogs and ensure accuracy.
• Patient Balance Resolution: track and coordinate unresolved balances.
• Claims Processing: support workflows for various claims and escalation when needed.
• Payment Coordination: assist with vendor payments and timely completion.
• SOAP Note Monitoring: monitor completion and compliance.
• Appointment Tracking: track missed/canceled appointments and trends.
• Reports and Operational Tracking: produce dashboards with insights and recommendations.
• Team Coordination: ensure clear updates and task ownership.
• Operational Support: identify gaps and propose practical solutions.
