Job summary

Go Lean Health is seeking a proactive Medical Virtual Assistant (MVA) to support a busy healthcare clinic remotely. You will own tasks like insurance verification, billing support, and claims processing, with a focus on accuracy and timely communication.

The role requires strong English, Mac OS proficiency, and independent work habits. This position offers 30 hours per week at $5–$6 per hour, with a performance-based increase after 6 months.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience as Medical Virtual Assistant.
• Experience supporting a US healthcare practice.
• Experience with insurance verification, EOBs, claims, or billing support.
• Exposure to CPT and ICD-10 codes.
• Strong English communication and professional style.
• Must be a Mac OS user.
• Ability to work independently with high accountability.

Responsibilities

• Verify patient insurance after check-in and document details.
• Review denied claims and assist with reprocessing.
• Process EOBs and clear backlogs with accuracy.
• Resolve patient balances and coordinate next steps.
• Support claims processing and escalation when needed.
• Coordinate vendor payments and ensure timely completion.
• Monitor SOAP notes for completeness and compliance.
• Track appointments and identify trends affecting revenue.
• Prepare operational reports with insights and recommendations.
• Foster clear communication among provider, care team, and staff.
• Identify workflow gaps and propose practical improvements.
