Job summary

Go Lean Health is seeking a Medical Virtual Assistant (MVA) to support a busy chiropractic clinic. This remote role requires sharp, proactive, detail-oriented individuals who can own clinic workflows with minimal supervision.

This position focuses on insurance verification, claims processing, billing support, and operational reporting, with an emphasis on accuracy and proactive problem-solving. Mac OS is required for this role, and you will collaborate closely with care teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Medical Virtual Assistant.
• Experience supporting a US healthcare practice.
• Experience with insurance verification, EOBs, claims, denied claims, patient balances, or billing support.
• Exposure to CPT and ICD-10 codes.
• Strong English communication, both written and verbal.
• Mac OS user.
• Strong attention to detail and follow-through.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Proven leadership, ownership, or high-accountability experience in a previous role.

Responsibilities

• Verify patient insurance after check-in and document accurately.
• Review denied claims and assist with reprocessing.
• Review and process Explanation of Benefits documents.
• Track outstanding balances and coordinate resolution.
• Support claims processing for Cigna and VA.
• Assist with vendor payments and ensure timely tasks.
• Monitor SOAP notes for completeness and compliance.
• Track missed and canceled appointments and scheduling trends.
• Prepare reports on balances, missed/canceled appointments, EOB backlog, denied claims, and other metrics.
