GoLean Health is seeking a capable Medical Virtual Assistant to support the operational health of a busy clinic. This remote role suits someone proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of owning key clinic workflows with minimal supervision.

You will handle insurance verification, denied claims, EOB processing, and patient balance resolution while maintaining strong English communication. The position emphasizes independence, executive presence, and collaboration with the provider and care team.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience as a Medical Virtual Assistant.
• Experience supporting a US healthcare practice preferred.
• Experience with insurance verification, EOBs, claims, denied claims, or billing support.
• Exposure to CPT and ICD-10 codes.
• Strong English communication, both written and verbal.
• Mac OS user experience required.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Verify patient insurance after check-in and document information.
• Review denied claims and assist with reprocessing and follow-up.
• Process EOBs and clear backlogs with accurate billing records.
• Resolve outstanding patient balances and coordinate next steps.
• Support claims workflows for providers including CPT/ICD-10 related tasks.
• Coordinate vendor payments and ensure timely tasks completion.
• Monitor SOAP notes for accuracy and timely completion.
• Track missed and canceled appointments and identify scheduling trends.
• Prepare reports on balances, appointments, and billing metrics with actionable insights.
• Facilitate clear communication between provider, care team, and admin staff.
