Job summary

GoLean Health in the Philippines is seeking a Medical Virtual Assistant to support a busy chiropractic clinic. The role is fully remote, 30 hours per week, with a starting rate of $5–$6 per hour and a performance-based raise after 6 months.

You will verify insurance, manage denied claims and EOBs, resolve patient balances, process claims, coordinate payments, monitor SOAP notes, track schedules, and prepare operational reports, while maintaining high English communication and independent

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Medical Virtual Assistant.
• Experience supporting a US healthcare practice.
• Experience with insurance verification, EOBs, claims, denied claims, patient balances, or billing support.
• Exposure to CPT and ICD-10 codes.
• Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong executive presence and professional communication style.
• Must be a Mac OS user.
• Strong attention to detail and follow-through.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Proven leadership, ownership, or high-accountability experience in a previous role.

Responsibilities

• Verify patient insurance after check-in and document accuracy.
• Review denied claims, identify reasons, and assist with reprocessing.
• Review and process Explanation of Benefits (EOB) documents.
• Review outstanding balances and coordinate resolution.
• Support claims-related workflows and escalate when needed.
• Assist with vendor payment coordination and check payments.
• Monitor SOAP note completion, accuracy, and compliance.
• Track missed/canceled appointments and scheduling trends.
• Prepare reports on balances, missed/canceled/denied items with insights.
• Coordinate team communication to ensure task completion.
• Identify workflow gaps and propose improvements to clinic efficiency.
