Job summary

Go Lean Health is seeking a Medical Virtual Assistant (MVA) for a remote, part-time role at a chiropractic clinic. You will manage insurance verification, claims processing, billing support, and operational tasks with a focus on accuracy and proactive problem-solving.

The position offers 30 hours per week at $5 to $6.50 per hour, with a performance-based increase after 6 months. The ideal candidate has strong English communication, accountability, and the ability to work independently to support

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year as Medical Virtual Assistant
• Experience supporting a US healthcare practice
• Experience with insurance verification, EOBs, claims, denied claims, patient balances, or billing support
• Exposure to CPT and ICD-10 codes
• Excellent English communication, written and verbal
• Mac OS proficiency
• Independent with minimal supervision
• Leadership, ownership, or high accountability experience

Responsibilities

• Insurance Verification: Verify patient insurance after check-in and document accurately.
• Denied Claims Management: Review denials, identify reasons, assist with reprocessing and tracking.
• EOB Processing: Review, organize, validate, and clear EOB backlogs.
• Patient Balance Resolution: Track unresolved balances and coordinate resolution steps.
• Claims Processing: Support claims workflows, including Cigna and VA.
• Payment Coordination: Assist with vendor payments and timely completion of tasks.
• SOAP Note Monitoring: Track completion and quality of SOAP notes.
• Appointment Tracking: Monitor missed/cancelled appointments and trends.
• Reports and Operational Tracking: Prepare actionable reports with insights.
• Team Coordination: Ensure clear communication among provider, care team, and staff.
• Operational Support: Identify and suggest workflow improvements.
