Job summary

GoLean Health in the Philippines is seeking a Medical Virtual Assistant (MVA) to support a busy chiropractic clinic. This remote role requires a sharp, proactive individual who can own clinic workflows with minimal supervision and provide excellent English communication.

Responsibilities include insurance verification, denied claims management, EOB processing, patient balance resolution, and claims processing, among others.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Medical Virtual Assistant.
• Experience supporting a US healthcare practice.
• Experience with insurance verification, EOBs, claims, denied claims, patient balances, or billing support.
• Exposure to CPT and ICD-10 codes.
• Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Must be a Mac OS user.
• Strong attention to detail and follow-through.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Proven leadership, ownership, or high-accountability experience in a previous role.

Responsibilities

• Verify patient insurance after check-in and document information.
• Review denied claims, identify reasons, and assist with reprocessing.
• Review and process Explanation of Benefits (EOB) documents.
• Review outstanding balances and coordinate resolutions.
• Support claims workflows including Cigna and VA.
• Assist with vendor payment coordination, including check payments.
• Monitor SOAP note completion, accuracy, and compliance.
• Track missed/ canceled appointments and scheduling trends.
• Prepare reports on balances, missed/canceled appointments, and denials.
• Facilitate team communication and ensure task priorities are met.
• Identify workflow gaps and propose practical improvements.
