Job summary

Go Lean Health is hiring a Medical Virtual Assistant (MVA) for a remote role supporting a Chiropractic Clinic. You will handle insurance verification, claims processing, billing support, and routine reporting while maintaining high accuracy and independence. The position requires strong English communication, ownership, and experience with CPT/ICD-10 codes.

Mac OS users preferred. 30 hours weekly, $5–$6.50 per hour with a performance-based raise after 6 months.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Medical Virtual Assistant.
• Experience supporting a US healthcare practice.
• Experience with insurance verification, EOBs, claims, denied claims, or billing support.
• Exposure to CPT and ICD-10 codes.
• Strong English communication skills.
• Must be a Mac OS user.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Proven leadership or ownership in a previous role.

Responsibilities

• Verify patient insurance after check-in, ~15 minutes after appointment time.
• Review denied claims, identify denial reasons, assist with reprocessing.
• Review and process Explanation of Benefits (EOB) documents and clear backlogs.
• Review outstanding balances and coordinate resolution steps for patients.
• Support claims workflows, including Cigna and VA claims, escalate as needed.
• Assist with vendor payments and ensure on-time completion of tasks.
• Monitor SOAP notes for completion, accuracy, and compliance.
• Track missed/cancelled appointments and scheduling trends.
• Prepare reports on balances, missed/cancelled appointments, EOB backlog, and denials with insights.
• Facilitate clear communication between provider, care team, and admin staff.
• Identify workflow gaps and provide practical improvement recommendations.
