This role goes beyond basic tasks; you will think ahead, identify operational gaps, and remove administrative and billing tasks from the provider’s plate. Excellent English, executive presence, and high accountability are essential, with a Mac OS

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year as Medical Virtual Assistant
• Experience supporting a US healthcare practice
• Experience with insurance verification, EOBs, claims, denied claims, patient balances, or billing support
• Exposure to CPT and ICD-10 codes
• Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal
• Strong executive presence and professional communication style
• Must be a Mac OS user
• Strong attention to detail and follow-through
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Proven leadership, ownership, or high-accountability experience in a previous role

Responsibilities

• Insurance Verification: Verify patient insurance after check-in, ~15 minutes after scheduled time.
• Denied Claims Management: Review denied claims and assist with reprocessing.
• EOB Processing: Review and process EOBs, clear backlogs with documentation accuracy.
• Patient Balance Resolution: Review outstanding balances and coordinate next steps.
• Claims Processing: Support CPT/ICD-10 claims and escalate when needed.
• Payment Coordination: Assist with vendor payments and ensure timely completion.
• SOAP Note Monitoring: Track note completion and compliance.
• Appointment Tracking: Monitor missed/canceled appointments and trends.
• Reports and Operational Tracking: Prepare reports with insights and recommendations.
• Team Coordination: Ensure clear updates and priorities across the care team.
• Operational Support: Identify workflow gaps and propose practical solutions.
