Job summary

Go Lean Health is hiring a Medical Virtual Assistant (MVA) to support a busy chiropractic clinic. This remote role requires sharp, proactive, detail-oriented individuals who can own clinic workflows with minimal supervision and think ahead to identify gaps in billing and admin tasks.

The candidate must have excellent English, strong executive presence, and reliability to work with the provider and care team. Mac OS experience is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Medical Virtual Assistant.
• Experience supporting a US healthcare practice.
• Experience with insurance verification, EOBs, claims, denied claims, patient balances, or billing support.
• Exposure to CPT and ICD-10 codes.
• Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong executive presence and professional communication style.
• Must be a Mac OS user.
• Strong attention to detail and follow-through.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Proven leadership, ownership, or high-accountability experience in a previous role.

Responsibilities

• Verify patient insurance after check-in and document accurately.
• Review and reprocess denied claims; track issues and follow-up.
• Review and process EOB documents; clear backlogs.
• Track outstanding balances and coordinate resolutions.
• Support claims workflows (e.g., Cigna, VA) with tracking and escalation.
• Assist with vendor payments and timely completion of tasks.
• Monitor SOAP note completion and compliance; flag issues.
• Track missed/canceled appointments and scheduling trends.
• Prepare reports on balances, appointments, EOB backlog, denials, and metrics.
• Facilitate smooth communication among provider, care team, and staff.
• Identify workflow gaps and propose practical improvements.
