Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of Medical Virtual Assistant experience.
• Experience supporting a US healthcare practice.
• Experience with insurance verification, EOBs, claims and billing support.
• Exposure to CPT and ICD-10 codes.
• Excellent English communication, written and verbal.
• Mac OS experience required.
• Strong attention to detail and follow-through.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Proven leadership or ownership in previous roles.
• Experience mentoring, training, or supporting new team members.

Responsibilities

• Insurance Verification: Verify patient insurance after check-in and document details.
• Denied Claims Management: Review denied claims and assist with reprocessing.
• EOB Processing: Review and process Explanation of Benefits documents.
• Patient Balance Resolution: Review outstanding balances and coordinate resolution.
• Claims Processing: Support claims workflows, including Cigna and VA claims.
• Payment Coordination: Assist with vendor payments and check payments.
• SOAP Note Monitoring: Monitor SOAP note completion and accuracy.
• Appointment Tracking: Track missed/cancelled appointments and trends.
• Reports and Operational Tracking: Prepare reports with insights and recommendations.
• Team Coordination: Ensure clear communication among provider, care team, and staff.
• Operational Support: Identify workflow gaps and propose practical improvements.
