Go Lean Health is seeking a Medical Virtual Assistant (MVA) to support a busy US healthcare clinic from a remote setup. You will verify insurance, process EOBs and claims, manage patient balances, and coordinate payments with minimal supervision. Strong English and executive presence are essential.

The role emphasizes ownership, proactive problem-solving, and proactive identification of billing gaps to improve clinic operations and revenue flow.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Medical Virtual Assistant.
• Experience supporting a US healthcare practice.
• Experience with insurance verification, EOBs, claims, denied claims, patient balances, or billing support.
• Exposure to CPT and ICD-10 codes.
• Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong executive presence and professional communication style.
• Must be a Mac OS user.
• Strong attention to detail and follow-through.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Proven leadership, ownership, or high-accountability experience in a previous role.

Responsabilités

• Verify patient insurance after check-in, around 15 minutes after appointment time, ensuring accurate and documented information.
• Review denied claims, identify reasons, assist with reprocessing, and track issues.
• Review and process Explanation of Benefits; clear backlogs with accurate documentation.
• Review outstanding balances, track issues, and coordinate resolution steps.
• Support claims workflows, including Cigna and VA claims; escalate when needed.
• Assist with vendor payment coordination and timely payments.
• Monitor SOAP notes for completion, accuracy, and compliance; flag delays.
• Track missed and canceled appointments; identify patterns affecting revenue.
• Prepare reports on balances, missed/canceled appointments, EOB backlog, and denials with actionable insights.
• Facilitate smooth team communication and ensure updates are shared and tasks not missed.
• Identify workflow gaps, billing concerns, and reporting delays; propose practical improvements.
