Job summary

Go Lean Health is seeking a Virtual Medical Assistant & Patient Scheduling Coordinator to support a U.S.-based Gastroenterology practice. This hybrid role focuses on patient calls, scheduling, appointment coordination, and front-desk support, with potential expansion into broader Medical Assistant tasks as you become familiar with workflows.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with a U.S.-based medical practice, strong English communication, and proficiency using eClinicalWorks

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of hands-on experience supporting a U.S.-based medical practice.
• Experience performing both medical receptionist/front-desk and Medical Assistant responsibilities.
• Hands-on eClinicalWorks (eCW) experience is required.
• Strong experience with patient scheduling and appointment coordination.
• Familiarity with prior authorizations, insurance verification, prescriptions/refills, and lab or diagnostic workflows.
• Excellent spoken and written English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• 1) Manage inbound and outbound patient calls, respond to inquiries, and follow up on appointment requests and leads.
• 2) Schedule, reschedule, and coordinate visits in eCW for new patients, follow-ups, procedures, and surgeries.
• 3) Monitor communications (phone, email, text) including reminders and changes.
• 4) Support Physicians with chart prep, intake information, and documentation.
• 5) Process prescription requests, refills, and related documentation.
