Job summary

Go Lean Health is seeking a Virtual Medical Assistant & Patient Scheduling Coordinator to support a U.S.-based gastroenterology practice. Hybrid patient-facing and clinical admin work, focusing on patient calls, scheduling, coordination, and front-desk tasks.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of hands-on experience supporting a U.S.-based medical practice.
• Experience performing medical receptionist/front-desk and Medical Assistant administrative tasks.
• Hands-on eClinicalWorks (eCW) experience is required.
• Strong experience with patient scheduling and appointment coordination.
• Familiarity with prior authorizations, insurance verification, prescriptions/refills, and lab/diagnostic workflows.
• Excellent spoken and written English communication skills.
• Attention to detail, organization, and documentation.
• Able to communicate directly with patients, providers, and clinic staff.
• Ability to work independently while staying connected with the onsite team.
• Saturday availability may be required occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Handle patient calls, scheduling, and front-desk support, including reminders and follow-ups.
• Assist providers with chart prep, intake data, docs, and remote admin tasks.
• Verify insurance, process prior authorizations, and resolve coverage-related issues.
• Document scheduling workflows and contribute to SOPs for team expansion.
