Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of Medical Virtual Assistant experience.
• Experience supporting a US healthcare practice.
• Experience with insurance verification, EOBs, claims and billing support.
• Exposure to CPT and ICD-10 codes.
• Strong English communication, both written and verbal.
• Mac OS user with professional communication style.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Proven leadership or ownership in a previous role.

Responsibilities

• Verify patient insurance after check-in and document details.
• Review denied claims and assist with reprocessing and follow-up.
• Process EOBs and clear backlogs with accurate documentation.
• Resolve patient balances and coordinate next steps for payment.
• Support claims workflows for multiple payers and escalate as needed.
• Assist with vendor payments and ensure timely completion.
• Monitor SOAP note completion and quality.
• Track missed/canceled appointments and identify trends for revenue.
• Prepare reports on balances, denials, and scheduling metrics with insights.
• Coordinate communication between provider, care team, and staff.
