Job summary

Myworkspace is seeking an experienced bookkeeper and administrator to run day-to-day finance for an Australian marine services business. This is a hands-on role for a self-starter who can independently manage bookkeeping and payroll after an induction, with support from the owner and external accountant.

Based in the Philippines, you will work with the Australian team; strong spoken and written English is essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of bookkeeping experience for Australian businesses.
• Proficient in Australian payroll with multiple awards.
• Advanced Xero skills.
• Excellent spoken and written English.
• Ability to work autonomously with strong organisational skills.
• Experience with intercompany transactions preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end bookkeeping for 2 to 3 Australian entities, including AR, AP, intercompany transactions and cross charging.
• Process Australian payroll in Xero across multiple pay structures and awards.
• Reconcile bank accounts, expenses and company credit cards.
• Maintain accurate financial records and support month end activities.
• Communicate with the internal team on financial, administrative and operational matters.
• Provide general administrative and operational support as the business grows.
