Job summary

BBS in Australia-focused bookkeeping services is hiring a Senior Bookkeeper to manage client records, payroll, GST, and financial reporting in a permanent remote role from the Philippines. You will ensure audit-ready standards and accurate ledgers across a portfolio of clients.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of Australian bookkeeping and payroll experience within a public practice environment.
• Strong knowledge of Australian bookkeeping principles and practices.
• Proven experience with complex bookkeeping, GST, and payroll issues.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Self-motivated, disciplined, and proactive when working remotely.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate, up-to-date financial records for clients.
• Record transactions, reconcile accounts, and manage ledgers.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
• Reconcile bank and credit card statements and resolve discrepancies.
• Oversee payroll processing and complex calculations.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, invoicing and payments.
• Prepare activity statements, GST reconciliations, PAYG, and BAS.
• Stay updated on accounting standards and local regulations.
• Provide clear, responsive support to clients and address issues promptly.
