Job summary

Commonwealth Foods, Inc. is seeking a Purchasing Officer to manage supplier canvassing, source qualified vendors, and ensure materials meet specifications. The role includes handling POs and supporting cost analyses, reporting to the Purchasing Head in Makati City.

Applicants should have 3–5 years in purchasing, FMCG/food manufacturing exposure preferred, and strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills. A valid driver's license is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Must have a bachelor's/college degree in business or related field.
• 3 to 5 years of work experience in purchasing, preferably FMCG/food manufacturing.
• Proficient in MS Office; Excel experience required.
• Knowledge of cost analysis, vendor accreditation, and sourcing strategies.
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to maintain supplier relationships.
• Holding a valid driver's license is an advantage.
• Willing to work in Makati City.

Job Requirements

• High level of integrity, attention to detail, hardworking, and organized.
• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Accountancy, or a related field.
• With at least 3 to 5 years of work experience in the same position. Preferably in a FMCG or Food Manufacturing Company.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Microsoft Excel is required.
• Experience in cost analysis, vendor accreditation and sourcing strategies preferred.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Excellent negotiation skills, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain supplier relationships.
• Having a valid driver’s license is an advantage
• Must be willing to work in Makati City.
