MKS Workforce Management Services Inc is hiring a Merchandiser/Chicken Cutter (Butcher) for a full-time role in Makati City, Metro Manila. You will prepare, cut and present poultry to high standards of quality and safety within a retail setting.

You will handle display, stock monitoring, equipment maintenance and customer interactions, while adhering to health, safety and sanitation policies. Flexible shifts with a focus on sales performance are expected.

About the role

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Merchandiser/Chicken Cutter (Butcher) to join our team at MKS Workforce Management Services Inc. This is a full-time position based in Magallanes, Makati City, Metro Manila. In this role, you will be responsible for the preparation, cutting, and presentation of poultry products to the highest standards of quality and food safety. You will play a crucial part in ensuring our customers receive premium chicken products whilst maintaining efficient operations within our retail environment. This position is essential to our merchandising operations and directly impacts customer satisfaction and sales performance.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and cut chicken and poultry products according to company standards and customer specifications

• Maintain sharp, sanitised cutting equipment and ensure proper storage of all tools and instruments

• Display and arrange chicken products attractively on shelves and display cases to maximise visual appeal and sales

• Monitor stock levels and ensure timely replenishment of poultry products throughout your shift

• Maintain strict adherence to food safety, hygiene and sanitation protocols at all times

• Inspect products for quality and freshness, removing any items that do not meet company standards

• Operate and maintain butchery equipment, including slicers, grinders and packaging machinery

• Assist with inventory management and labelling of products with appropriate pricing and product information

• Interact professionally with customers, answering queries about products and providing recommendations

• Work efficiently during peak hours to meet customer demand and sales targets

• Comply with all workplace health and safety regulations and company policies

What we're looking for

• Proven experience as a butcher, chicken cutter or in a similar meat preparation role within a retail or food service environment

• Strong knowledge of proper meat cutting techniques, butchery practices and poultry preparation methods

• Demonstrated commitment to food safety, hygiene standards and sanitation requirements

• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to maintain consistent product quality

• Physical capability to perform repetitive cutting motions and lift heavy items regularly

• Ability to work efficiently under pressure, particularly during peak trading periods

• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage time effectively

• Excellent customer service skills with a professional and friendly demeanour

• Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced retail environment

• Valid food handling certification or willingness to obtain one

• Flexibility to work various shifts, including early mornings and weekends as required
