About the role

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Merchandiser/Chicken Cutter (Butcher) to join our team at MKS Workforce Management Services Inc. This is a full-time position based in Balagtas, Bulacan. In this role, you will be responsible for the preparation, cutting, and presentation of poultry products whilst maintaining the highest standards of food safety and product quality. You will play a vital part in ensuring our customers receive premium-quality chicken products that meet their expectations, whilst contributing to the overall success of our retail operations.

Key responsibilities

• Expertly cut, trim, and portion chicken and other poultry products using appropriate butchering techniques and equipment
• Maintain strict food safety and hygiene standards in accordance with health and safety regulations
• Display and merchandise poultry products in an attractive and appetising manner to maximise sales appeal
• Monitor product freshness and quality, removing any items that do not meet quality standards
• Operate and maintain butchering equipment safely and efficiently, including knives, saws, and cutting machinery
• Weigh and price products accurately using point-of-sale systems and scales
• Respond to customer enquiries about product selection, cuts, and preparation methods with professionalism and knowledge
• Maintain a clean and organised work station, including proper storage and rotation of stock
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth daily operations and consistent service delivery
• Follow company policies and procedures regarding inventory management, waste reduction, and product handling

What we’re looking for

• Proven experience as a butcher, chicken cutter, or in a similar poultry processing or retail role
• Strong knowledge of butchering techniques, cuts of poultry, and food preparation standards
• Understanding of food safety, sanitation protocols, and relevant health and safety regulations
• Ability to use butchering equipment safely and competently, including knives and mechanical saws
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high product quality standards
• Physical capability to perform repetitive cutting motions and lift moderate weights throughout the day
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Reliability, punctuality, and a professional approach to work
• Flexibility to adapt to varying work schedules and seasonal demands
• Previous retail or merchandising experience is advantageous
