• Proven experience in butcher/chicken cutter or similar meat processing role.
• Strong knowledge of poultry cutting techniques and butchering practices.
• Certification or training in food safety and hygiene standards, or willingness to obtain such certification.

Responsibilities

• Process and cut chicken and poultry products according to established standards and customer specifications.
• Prepare and package chicken products for retail display, ensuring proper labelling and weight accuracy.
• Maintain a clean and hygienic work environment, adhering to all food safety and sanitation regulations.
• Merchandise and display poultry products attractively on retail shelves and counters to maximise visual appeal and sales.
• Monitor stock levels and communicate inventory needs to management to ensure adequate product availability.
• Maintain all cutting equipment and tools in proper working condition and report any maintenance issues.
• Rotate stock using the first-in, first-out (FIFO) method to ensure product freshness.
• Interact professionally with customers, answering questions about products and providing recommendations.
• Follow all company policies, procedures and food handling protocols to maintain quality assurance.
• Support team members and contribute to a positive, collaborative work environment.

About the role

MKS WORKFORCE MANAGEMENT SERVICES INC is seeking a skilled and dedicated Merchandiser/Chicken Cutter (Butcher) to join our retail and consumer products team. This is a full-time position based in Malolos City, Bulacan. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing, processing, and merchandising poultry products to the highest standards of quality and food safety. You will play a crucial part in ensuring our customers receive premium chicken products whilst maintaining efficient operations within our retail environment. What we're looking for

• Proven experience as a butcher, chicken cutter or similar meat processing role within a retail or food service environment




• Strong knowledge of proper meat cutting techniques and butchering practices for poultry products




• Certification or training in food safety and hygiene standards, or willingness to obtain such certification




• Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of product quality and presentation




• Physical stamina and ability to stand for extended periods whilst performing repetitive cutting and processing tasks




• Proficiency in using butchering tools and equipment safely and effectively




• Strong understanding of food safety regulations and compliance requirements




• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-focused approach




• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team




• Flexibility to work various shifts, including early mornings, as required by retail operations




• Previous retail merchandising experience is advantageous
