To drive sales and market development of the company's fertilizer and agricultural input products by developing dealer/distributor networks, increasing market coverage, generating business opportunities, maintaining customer relationships, and achieving assigned sales and marketing targets.
2. Key Responsibilities
A. Sales & Business Development
- Achieve assigned monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets.
- Develop new dealers, distributors, retailers and institutional customers.
- Expand business in existing and new territories.
- Increase market share of company products in the assigned territory.
- Promote SSP, GSSP, micronutrients and other value-added products.
- Ensure effective product-wise and territory-wise sales planning.
- Monitor booking, dispatches, billing and outstanding payments.
B. Market Development
- Conduct regular market visits and identify new business opportunities.
- Develop market potential through territory, segment, reach, width and depth analysis.
- Increase product penetration and distribution reach.
- Identify potential agricultural markets and customer segments.
- Track competitor products, prices, schemes, promotions and market activities.
- Provide regular market intelligence to the reporting manager.
- Maintain strong relationships with dealers, distributors, retailers and farmers.
- Conduct dealer/farmer meetings, product demonstrations and promotional activities.
- Resolve customer complaints and coordinate with relevant departments for timely resolution.
- Ensure proper communication of product features, pricing and schemes.
- Monitor dealer-wise business performance and develop action plans for improvement.
D. Product Promotion
- Promote company products through field visits, farmer meetings, dealer meets and other marketing activities.
- Support campaigns, exhibitions, agricultural events and promotional programs.
- Create awareness regarding product benefits and applications.
- Promote value-added and micronutrient products to improve business mix.
E. Sales & Market Reporting
- Update daily/weekly sales and market activities in the prescribed system.
- Submit weekly performance reports as per company requirements.
- Prepare territory-wise sales forecasts and action plans.
- Track achievement against assigned targets.
- Provide accurate market feedback to management.
F. Collection & Commercial Coordination
- Follow up with dealers/customers for timely payment collection.
- Monitor outstanding balances and credit limits.
- Coordinate with Accounts, Logistics, Dispatch and other departments for smooth order execution.
- Ensure adherence to company-approved pricing, credit and sales policies.
