Emapta is seeking a Logistics Operations Support Specialist to help keep freight moving with accurate shipment visibility and timely carrier coordination. The role includes tracking shipments, handling AP/AR data entry, and ensuring consistent operational records.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years experience in logistics operations, billing, AP/AR, or call center.
• Experience in expedited freight or air freight is an advantage but not required.
• Willingness to undergo training in logistics processes.

Responsibilities

• Track domestic and international shipments and monitor airway bill status.
• Email carriers for updates and resolve inquiries.
• Enter accounts payable/receivable data into designated systems.
• Maintain accurate shipment and financial records.
• Escalate delays or issues to the on-duty manager promptly.
• Complete assigned training and expand knowledge of freight operations.

The Qualifications We Seek

Experience & Industry Background

• 3 to 5 years of relevant professional experience in logistics operations, billing, accounts payable and receivable (AP/AR), call center operations, or a related field
• Experience in expedited freight, shipment tracking, or air freight operations, an advantage but not required
• Willingness to undergo training in logistics processes and industry-specific procedures

Skills & Capabilities

• Strong written communication skills, particularly in professional email correspondence and carrier follow-ups
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills to maintain accurate shipment and financial records
• Ability to perform repetitive computer-based tasks accurately and work independently
• Ability to follow standard operating procedures, manage assigned tasks, and maintain consistent work quality
• Willingness to ask questions, seek clarification, and learn new systems and operational processes

Your Daily Tasks

Shipment Tracking & Carrier Coordination

• Track domestic and international shipments and monitor airway bill status to ensure accurate shipment visibility.
• Contact freight carriers via email to obtain shipment updates, clarify delivery information, and resolve routine inquiries.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date shipment records to support efficient logistics operations.

Financial Data Entry & Operational Administration

• Enter accounts payable and accounts receivable (AP/AR) information into designated systems.
• Record and update operational data to ensure accurate financial documentation and administrative records.

Process Compliance & Issue Escalation

• Follow established standard operating procedures to ensure accuracy and consistency across assigned tasks.
• Identify shipment delays, operational exceptions, and unresolved inquiries, and elevate them promptly to the manager on duty.

Professional Development & Expanded Responsibilities

• Complete assigned training and develop knowledge of freight operations, internal systems, and administrative procedures.
• Assume additional responsibilities as technical skills, operational knowledge, and confidence develop.
