Emapta is seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst to improve data quality, reporting, and decision-making for a passenger transport and tourism enterprise. This international opportunity offers daytime hours, permanent work-from-home flexibility, mentorship, and a path to a global career.

The role operates within the Data & Analytics team and Technology department, leveraging Power BI, SQL, and Snowflake exposure, with a strong emphasis on data modeling, analytics, and stakeholder collaboration.

Competenze

• 2+ years of data or analytics in a corporate environment, preferably in passenger transport, tourism, or corporate finance.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Power BI.
• Exposure to the Snowflake data platform preferred.

• Strategy and Planning: Align work with the Data & Analytics and Technology department goals.
• Development and Systems Management: Identify data sources, ingest data, and design data models for end users.
• Create, maintain, and review reports and dashboards for operational staff, project teams, and senior management.

Qualifications

Education

• Tertiary qualification in a numerical, analytical, or computational discipline, or equivalent experience

Experience

• 2+ years of experience working with data or analytics in a corporate environment, preferably within passenger transport, tourism, or corporate finance
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Power BI
• Exposure to the Snowflake data platform preferred

Responsibilities

Strategy and Planning

• Ensure your work supports the strategic goals of the Data & Analytics team and Technology department.

Development and Systems Management

• Identify data sources within internal and third-party systems.
• Follow established data collection patterns to ingest data from various sources.
• Follow and improve data transformation patterns to structure, sanitize, and secure data for use by data professionals.
• Follow, improve, and design data modeling patterns to create curated models for widespread use by end users.
• Generate information and insights from datasets and identify trends and patterns.
• Create, maintain, and review reports and dashboards for operational staff, project teams, and senior management.
• Support and administer data and analytics platforms.Write and maintain documentation for your work, including user requirements, user guides, technical specifications, and glossaries.

Team and Culture

• Follow all data and analytics processes and policies and contribute to their continuous improvement.
• Participate in formal and informal reviews to support quality assurance of the Data & Analytics team's work and ongoing team learning.

Operational Excellence

• Review and resolve all relevant issues and incidents identified through the IT Service Management tool.
• Assess data quality and identify where and how data requires remediation.
• Contribute to improvements in work prioritization, scheduling, and delivery.

Stakeholder Collaboration

• Work with business users to understand their needs and translate them into data and analytics requirements.
• Coach and support end users and data professionals within Group IT and across operating divisions.

Budget and Resource Management

• Optimize designs and implementations to ensure responsible use of compute, storage, and other components that incur costs.

Key Performance Measures

• Complete work within agreed timelines, following team processes and policies and maintaining supporting documentation.
• Use the highest-quality data available in your work.
