Thames International School seeks an experienced HR leader to oversee the HR team, drive recruitment, onboarding, and employee relations. The role focuses on performance management, policy compliance, and staff development to support a dynamic educational environment.
You will manage HR data, reporting, and cross-department collaborations while promoting a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
Supervise and mentor HR team members, providing guidance and support in their daily responsibilities.
Conduct regular performance evaluations and facilitate professional development opportunities for HR staff.
Foster a collaborative and positive work environment within the HR team.
Manage the recruitment process, including job postings, interviewing, and selection of candidates.
Collaborate with department managers to identify staffing needs and develop job descriptions.
Oversee onboarding processes to ensure a smooth transition for new employees.
Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, and procedures.
Address and resolve employee conflicts and grievances, promoting a positive workplace culture.
Implement employee engagement initiatives to enhance morale and retention.
Oversee the performance appraisal process, ensuring timely evaluations and feedback.
Work with managers to develop performance improvement plans and support employee development.
Monitor team performance metrics and report on trends to senior management.
Assess training needs and coordinate training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
Provide or arrange training sessions on HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
Promote a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation.
Develop, implement, and update HR policies and procedures in alignment with best practices and legal requirements.
Conduct regular audits of HR processes to ensure compliance and efficiency.
Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and HR databases.
Prepare reports on HR metrics such as turnover rates, hiring statistics, and employee satisfaction.
Analyze data to inform HR strategies and recommend improvements.
Collaborate with other departments to address HR-related needs and coordinate initiatives.
Communicate effectively with employees and management to foster transparency and trust.
Participate in strategic planning and initiatives that support organizational objectives.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree or HR certification (SHRM-CP, PHR) preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in human resources, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory role.
Strong knowledge of HR practices, employment laws, and labor relations.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
Proficient in HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite, with strong analytical abilities.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
