Qualifications

• Culinary qualification or certification in professional cookery or Chinese cuisine.

Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients for cooking by washing, peeling, chopping and storing vegetables, meats and other food items according to established standards
• Assist in the cooking and plating of Chinese dishes, ensuring consistency in quality and presentation
• Follow recipes and cooking techniques under the direction of senior chefs
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of your assigned station and cooking area
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including woks, steamers and other Chinese cooking tools
• Support food delivery by ensuring dishes are prepared to specification and ready for service
• Assist with stock rotation and proper storage of ingredients
• Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards at all times
• Contribute to a positive team environment by supporting other kitchen staff
