We are seeking an experienced Chef de Partie specializing in Chinese Cuisine to join the culinary team at NIU by Vikings Group of Companies. This is a full-time position based in Nuvali, Laguna.
Prepare and cook Chinese dishes according to established recipes, standards and presentation guidelines
Oversee and manage the assigned kitchen station, ensuring all equipment is properly maintained and organized
Train, supervise and mentor junior kitchen staff working within your station
Maintain strict adherence to food safety, hygiene and sanitation standards at all times
Control food costs and portion sizes whilst maintaining quality and consistency
Monitor stock levels and communicate ingredient requirements to ensure smooth kitchen operations
Collaborate with the head chef and other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during busy periods
Develop and suggest new dishes and menu innovations that align with Chinese culinary traditions
Ensure all dishes meet quality standards before they leave the kitchen
Maintain a clean, organized and efficient working environment within your station
Minimum of 3-5 years' professional experience as a Chef de Partie or equivalent senior kitchen position, with substantial experience in Chinese cuisine
Strong knowledge of authentic Chinese cooking techniques, ingredients and traditional preparation methods
Advanced culinary skills with proficiency in wok cooking, steaming, stir-frying and other traditional Chinese cooking methods
Leadership and supervisory experience with the ability to train and mentor junior kitchen staff
Excellent understanding of food safety, hygiene regulations and HACCP principles
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage a busy kitchen station during peak service times
Creative mindset with the ability to develop new dishes and contribute to menu development
Ability to work under pressure and maintain consistency in a fast-paced hospitality environment
Excellent communication and teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with kitchen staff and management
Relevant culinary qualifications or certifications in Chinese cuisine are highly desirable
Passion for quality, innovation and maintaining the highest standards of culinary excellence
