Job Summary
The Business Development Officer is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing client relationships, and supporting the company’s growth through strategic partnerships and project acquisition. The role involves market research, client engagement, proposal preparation, and coordination with internal departments to secure new projects and maintain strong business relationships.
The ideal candidate should be proactive, results-oriented, and capable of building long-term partnerships with clients and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities to expand the company’s client base.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients.
- Conduct market research to identify trends, potential projects, and business opportunities.
- Prepare business proposals, quotations, and presentations for prospective clients.
- Coordinate with internal departments (engineering, procurement, operations, and management) to ensure project feasibility and proper project handover.
- Attend meetings, site visits, and networking events to represent the company and promote services.
- Monitor competitors and industry developments to support strategic planning.
- Maintain accurate records of client communications, leads, and business development activities.
- Assist management in developing strategies to increase revenue and market presence.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or related field.
- Preferably with 1–3 years of experience in business development, sales, or marketing.
- Experience in construction, engineering, or project-based industries is an advantage.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to build and maintain professional relationships with clients.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of project bidding and proposal preparation.
- Strong networking and client acquisition skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to analyze market trends and identify growth opportunities.
Work Schedule
- Monday to Saturday
- Fieldwork and client meetings may be required.
