Job Description
The Business Development Officer is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with clients, business partners, contractors, suppliers, and other key stakeholders. The role supports the company's business growth by identifying new opportunities, coordinating client requirements, developing business relationships, and working closely with internal teams to ensure smooth project and client coordination.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities through networking, referrals, industry contacts, and other channels.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, business partners, contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
- Assist in managing existing client and business partner relationships to support repeat business and long-term partnerships.
- Coordinate with clients regarding their requirements, inquiries, project needs, and other business concerns.
- Conduct client meetings, presentations, site visits, and business discussions as needed.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure that client requirements and business opportunities are properly communicated and addressed.
- Monitor potential projects, leads, and business opportunities and provide regular updates to management.
- Assist in preparing proposals, presentations, quotations, and other business development materials.
- Conduct basic market and competitor research to identify potential clients, projects, and business opportunities.
- Represent the company in meetings, networking activities, site visits, and other business-related events.
- Maintain an updated database of clients, prospects, partners, and business contacts.
- Follow up with prospective and existing clients regarding ongoing opportunities and requirements.
- Support management in developing strategies to expand the company's client base and business network.
- Ensure a high level of client satisfaction and professional relationship management.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Management, Communications, or a related field.
- 2–3 years of experience in business development, sales, account management, client relations, or a related role.
- Experience in construction, architectural, interior design, engineering, building materials, or related industries is an advantage but not required.
- Strong communication, negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong relationship-building and customer service skills.
- Proactive, organized, and results-oriented.
- Ability to identify and develop potential business opportunities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
- Willing to travel for client meetings, site visits, and business-related activities
