Job summary

Straive in Taguig, Philippines, is seeking an Application Specialist to ensure smooth application service operations. You will resolve issues promptly and facilitate feature transitions from development to production environments, while driving continuous improvements and automation to boost delivery efficiency.

You'll engage in incident and problem management, communicate with stakeholders, and manage operational escalations.

Qualifications

• Proficient in relational databases (MS SQL Server preferred).
• Experience with incident and problem management.
• Familiar with Enterprise Agile frameworks (Kanban/SAFe/ SCRUM).
• Strong agile delivery with release management exposure.
• Able to balance multiple operations/projects with attention to detail.
• Experience or active learning in Artificial Intelligence.

Application Specialist (3 days RTO, midshift with quarterly nightshift)

Responsibilities:

• Ensure smooth business application service operations by resolving issues in a timely manner.
• Facilitate smooth transition of application features from development to production environments.
• Actively develop continuous improvement initiatives and optimization of business application service operations.
• Assist in the automation of existing manual activities to improve the consistency and efficiency of business application service delivery to end users.
• Effectively communicate to stakeholders as part of incident/problem management.
• Manage escalations related to operational topics.

Skills and Experience Required:

• Proficient in relational databases (preferably Microsoft SQL Server, Snowflake is a plus)
• Experience with incident and problem management
• Good understanding or have gained experience on at least one common Enterprise Agile Framework e.g., Kanban, SAFe, SCRUM, etc.
• Strong in agile delivery, with release management experience and engineering exposure
• Proven ability to balance & prioritize multiple operations/projects at a time, while maintaining sharp attention to detail.
• Experience or active personal learning in Artificial Intelligence

Nice to have:

• Knowledge in cloud services, preferably AWS
• Knowledge in CI/CD Pipelines and Tools (GitLab, Jenkins, Etc.)
• Experience in supporting SaaS systems (e.g. SAP)
• Knowledge in programming languages, Java and Python
• Experience in using ServiceNow, Jira, Confluence, or other similar tools
