Job summary

Straive is seeking an Application Specialist in the Philippines to ensure reliable business application operations and smooth feature transitions from development to production. The role emphasizes prompt issue resolution, continuous improvement, and automation of manual tasks.

The ideal candidate will have strong SQL Server/Snowflake experience, incident and problem management, and a solid background in agile delivery and release management.

• Strong in agile delivery, with release management experience and engineering exposure.
• Able to balance and prioritize multiple operations/projects with attention to detail.
• Experience or active learning in Artificial Intelligence.

Application Specialist (3 days RTO, midshift with quarterly nightshift)

Responsibilities:

• Ensure smooth business application service operations by resolving issues in a timely manner.
• Facilitate smooth transition of application features from development to production environments.
• Actively develop continuous improvement initiatives and optimization of business application service operations.
• Assist in the automation of existing manual activities to improve the consistency and efficiency of business application service delivery to end users.
• Effectively communicate to stakeholders as part of incident/problem management.
• Manage escalations related to operational topics.

Skills and Experience Required:

Responsibilities:

• Proficient in relational databases (preferably Microsoft SQL Server, Snowflake is a plus)
• Experience with incident and problem management
• Good understanding or have gained experience on at least one common
• Strong in agile delivery, with release management experience and engineering exposure
• Proven ability to balance and prioritize multiple operations/projects at a time, while maintaining sharp attention to detail.
• Experience or active personal learning in Artificial Intelligence

Nice to have:

• Knowledge in cloud services, preferably AWS
• Knowledge in CI/CD Pipelines and Tools (GitLab, Jenkins, Etc.)
• Experience in supporting SaaS systems (e.g. SAP)
• Knowledge in programming languages, Java and Python
• Experience in using ServiceNow, Jira, Confluence, or other similar tools
