Job summary

Straive is seeking a Senior Application Specialist in Taguig to manage and optimize enterprise applications. The role focuses on operational stability, incident management, and feature transitions from development to production.

The ideal candidate has deep SQL experience, strong Agile exposure, and hands-on CI/CD and tooling knowledge to enable reliable SaaS operations. This is a demanding, hands-on position requiring cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• 8-10 years experience in relational databases (MS SQL Server preferred).
• Experience with incident and problem management.
• Familiar with at least one Enterprise Agile Framework (Kanban, SAFe, SCRUM).
• Strong agile delivery with release management and engineering exposure.
• Proven ability to balance multiple operations/projects with attention to detail.
• Experience or active learning in Artificial Intelligence.

Senior Application Specialist (3 days RTO, 2 days WFH)

Responsibilities

• Ensure smooth business application service operations by resolving issues in a timely manner.
• Facilitate smooth transition of application features from development to production environments.
• Actively develop continuous improvement initiatives and optimization of business application service operations.
• Assist in the automation of existing manual activities to improve the consistency and efficiency of business application service delivery to end users.
• Effectively communicate to stakeholders as part of incident/problem management.
• Manage escalations related to operational topics.

Required Skills

• 8-10 years experience in relational databases (preferably Microsoft SQL Server, Snowflake is a plus)
• Experience with incident and problem management
• Good understanding or have gained experience on at least one common Enterprise Agile Framework e.g., Kanban, SAFe, SCRUM, etc.
• Strong in agile delivery, with release management experience and engineering exposure
• Proven ability to balance and prioritize multiple operations/projects at a time, while maintaining sharp attention to detail.
• Experience or active personal learning in Artificial Intelligence

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge in cloud services, preferably AWS
• Knowledge in CI/CD Pipelines and Tools (GitLab, Jenkins, Etc.)
• Experience in supporting SaaS systems (e.g. SAP)
• Knowledge in programming languages, Java and Python
• Experience in using ServiceNow, Jira, Confluence, or other similar tools
