About the role

An Application Specialist role focused on ensuring smooth business application service operations by resolving issues in a timely manner and facilitating the transition of application features from development to production environments.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure smooth business application service operations by resolving issues in a timely manner

• Facilitate smooth transition of application features from development to production environments

• Actively develop continuous improvement initiatives and optimization of business application service operations

• Assist in the automation of existing manual activities to improve the consistency and efficiency of business application service delivery to end-users

• Effectively communicate to stakeholders as part of incident/problem management

• Manage escalations related to operational topics
  

Qualifications:

• Advanced SQL Scripting: With at least 6-10+ years in SQL preferably MSSQL. Strong intermediate to advanced SQL skills, with the ability to write complex queries for application troubleshooting, data analysis, and issue resolution.

• Application & Production Support: Proven experience in application and production support, including incident management, problem management, root-cause analysis, and timely issue resolution.

• Technical Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to translate technical SQL solutions and application issues into clear business context.

• Stakeholder Management: Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to effectively manage incidents, operational escalations, expectations, and cross-functional collaboration.

• Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain technical concepts, SQL logic, issues, and solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
