Job summary

The Co-operative Bank in Wellington seeks a Learning & Development leader to cover a 10-month parental leave. You will lead the Learning function, maintaining delivery of the learning strategy and ensuring staff have access to skills and development opportunities to support customer outcomes and regulatory requirements.

Working with leaders across the organisation, you will oversee learning frameworks, governance, and LMS systems, providing strategic advice on capability needs and learning

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading a Learning and Development function or team in a regulated environment.
• Experience developing and implementing learning strategies with measurable outcomes.
• Experience with LMS, governance, reporting and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Learning function and governance, maintaining delivery of the learning strategy.

The Co-operative Bank – Wellington, North Island

As part of our People & Culture team, you'll lead the Bank's Learning function while providing parental leave cover for our Learning Manager. You'll be responsible for maintaining delivery of our learning strategy and priorities, ensuring employees have access to the skills, knowledge and development opportunities needed to support customer outcomes, regulatory requirements and our Future Bank Strategy.

Working across the organisation, you'll partner with leaders to identify capability needs, oversee our learning frameworks and systems, and provide strategic advice on learning and development. This is an exciting opportunity to influence workforce capability while ensuring continuity of key programmes, stakeholder relationships and learning governance activities.

This is a 10 month fixed-term parental leave cover opportunity based at our Wellington Head Office.

You’ll bring the following experience to the table:

• Proven experience leading a Learning and Development function or team, ideally within a complex or regulated environment
• Strong experience developing and implementing learning strategies, frameworks and capability initiatives that deliver measurable outcomes
• Experience working with learning management systems, learning governance, reporting and compliance requirements.
• Exceptional stakeholder engagement, communication and influencing skills, with the ability to balance strategic, operational and regulatory priorities.
