Job summary

Waipuna Hotel & Conference Centre is seeking experienced Casual Chefs to join our team for the busy season. Roles range from Demi Chef to Chef de Partie and Senior Chef de Partie, across Restaurant, Banquets and Pastry.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience as a Demi Chef up to 2 years at Chef de Partie level.
• Experience across restaurant, banquet and pastry kitchen environments.
• Qualification in Food Cookery or Culinary Arts is essential.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for service across restaurant, banquet, and pastry kitchens.
• Minimise wastage and maintain a clean, safe working area.
• Demonstrate excellent time management and perform well under pressure.

Waipuna Hotel & Conference Centre is looking for experienced and motivated Casual chefs - from Demi Chef, Chef de Partie through to Senior Chef de Partie to join our team in the lead-up to our busy season. We need adaptable chefs that can flexibly support across all of our busy kitchens (Banquets, Restaurant and Pastry).

What we need from you:

• Minimum of 1 years experience (Demi Chefs) to 2 years (Chef de Partie level)
• We're looking for people who have experience across different kitchens, such as Hotel restaurant environments as well as Banquet/conferencing kitchens.
• The successful applicant will be responsible for (but not limited to) prep for service (whether in the restaurant, banquet or pastry kitchen), minimising wastage and maintaining a clean and safe working area
• Excellent time management and works well under pressure
• An eye for detail and high standard of cleanlinessn li>
• Be a team player and excellent communicator
• Have a positive can-do attitude and bring your best every day
• A qualification in Food Cookery or Culinary Arts is essential.
