Job summary

Waipuna Hotel & Conference Centre in Mount Wellington, Auckland, is seeking an experienced Baker to join our Pastry team. You will be responsible for bakery production and provide support in pastry when needed, delivering delightful treats for conference guests and hotel visitors.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience as a Baker.
• Experience in Pastry, Restaurant or Conferencing kitchens is valuable.
• Must be able to contribute to bakery production and support pastry as needed.

Waipuna Hotel & Conference Centre is looking for experienced and motivated Baker to join our Pastry team. We need an adaptable chef that enjoys delivering a range of delightful treats for our conference and hotel guests.

What we need from you:

• Minimum of 1 years experience as a Baker
• If you have experience in Pastry, Restaurant or Conferencing kitchens, that is also valuable
• The successful applicant will be primarily responsible for (but not limited to) bakery production; and provide support as needed in Pastry production
• Effectivley minimises wastage and maintainins a clean, hygienic and safe working area
• Excellent time management and works well under pressure
• An eye for detail and high standards
• Be a team player and excellent communicator
• Have a positive can-do attitude and bring your best every day
• A qualification in Food Cookery or Culinary Arts is essential.
