Job summary

Waipuna Hotel & Conference Centre in Mount Wellington, Auckland seeks a Duty Manager to join our hands-on team on a casual basis. The role covers front desk duties, guest enquiries, and cashiering, with shifts across AM, PM and weekends.

Ideal candidates will have at least 12 months Front Office experience, LCQ/Managers Licence (First Aid ideal) and a strong customer-service focus. Located in a central yet peaceful setting, training will be provided for Opera Cloud users.

Qualifications

• 12 months Front Office experience as a Duty Manager
• Experience with Opera Cloud preferred
• Current LCQ & Managers Licence (First Aid ideal)

Responsibilities

• Support Duty Manager and team for smooth Front Desk operations
• Handle guest enquiries, reservations, housekeeping requests, guest billing and cashiering
• Ensure compliance with Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act and maintain guest confidentiality

About You

• Must have at least 12 months experience in Front Office as a Duty Manager
• Experience using Opera cloud is preferred
• Will have current LCQ & Managers Licence (and ideally a First Aid Certificate).
• A passion for customer service, high standards of service and excellent attention to detail.
• Is confident and experienced in all facets of Front Office duties.
• Have the ability to multi-task with a can-do attitude
• Keep a cool head whilst working under pressure
• Shifts available cross AM, PM and weekend shifts
• Are available to start as soon as possible.
• Must have the right to work in NZ

About the Job

• Assist the Duty Manager and team to ensure the smooth and efficient day to day operations of the Front Desk, assisting guests with enquiries, reservations, housekeeping requests, settling guest accounts and ensuring cashiering is accurate
• Responsibility for ensuring compliance with obligations under Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act
• Maintain strict security procedures to ensure guest confidentiality and safety
• Maintain a high standard of personal presentation
• Maintain high hotel standards and ensure guest safety and comfort is paramount
