Job summary

Waipuna Hotel & Conference Centre in Mount Wellington is seeking a casual F&B Attendant to join our Banquets team, delivering friendly, high-standard service to conference and events guests. You’ll work on a rotating roster including days, evenings, nights and weekends, and you should be passionate about hospitality with strong customer service and the ability to multi-task.

Bar experience and LCQ/First Aid are advantageous, and the right to work in NZ is required.

Qualifications

• Passion for customer service with high standards and attention to detail.
• Experience in Banquet/Conference service is preferred.
• Ability to multi-task with a can-do attitude.
• Maintain composure while working under pressure.
• Flexibility to work rotating rosters including days/evenings/nights/weekends.
• Available to start as soon as possible.
• Bar experience, LCQ and First Aid certification are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional service in conference/banquets settings and assist Restaurant team as needed.
• Contribute to efficient operation and revenue generation through high standards of service, cleanliness, and correct cash/card handling.
• Stand and move around for extended periods while attending to guests politely.
• Handle banqueting equipment and setup with care and safety.
• Be flexible within the team to meet service requirements.

About You

• Are available to start as soon as possible.
• If you already have bar experience, your LCQ and First Aid Certificate, this is advantageous
• Must have the right to work in NZ

About the Job

The F&B Attendant:

• Is responsible for ensuring exceptional service is delivered to guests, primarily in our conference/banquets environment, but also supporting our Restaurant team as needed.
• Actively contributes to the efficient operation and revenue generation of the conference team by providing a high standard of customer service, cleanliness, food and beverage service, preparation and effective cash and card handling.
• Must be able to stand and walk for an extended period while accommodating guests effectively and politely.
• Must be comfortable with manual handling requirements (such as moving chairs, tables and other banqueting equipment)
• Is expected to be flexible in team, in order to most effectively deliver on our F&B service requirements.
