Jora New Zealand is seeking an experienced and proactive Business Administrator to support national operations and help keep things running smoothly behind the scenes.

Reporting to the CFO, you will be an integral part of our supportive, down-to-earth, and forward-thinking team across Auckland, Wellington, and branches nationwide.

Qualifications

  • Minimum three years' experience in business administration.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Strong organisation and time-management skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.
  • Experience with Orion software is a plus.
  • Capable of working independently and in a team.
  • Customer-focused with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Manage national accounts payable processes and related inquiries.
  • Support accounts receivable, finance, and compliance activities.
  • Maintain PPSR records (Personal Property Securities Register).
  • Complete general accounts administration and office support.
  • Provide reception coverage and assist with day-to-day office needs.
  • Coordinate team health and safety administration and compliance.
  • Contractor pre-qualification.
  • Identify opportunities to improve administrative processes and efficiency.

We are looking for an experienced and proactive Business Administrator to support our national operations and help keep things running smoothly behind the scenes.

Reporting to the CFO, you will be an integral part of our supportive, down-to-earth, and forward-thinking team.

This role offers variety, responsibility, and the opportunity to work closely with our Auckland and Wellington offices, as well as our five other branches nationwide.

What you'll be doing:

  • Managing national accounts payable processes and related internal and external enquiries.
  • Supporting accounts receivable, finance, and compliance activities.
  • Maintaining accurate records on the Personal Property Securities Register (PPSR).
  • Completing general accounts administration and office support.
  • Providing reception coverage and assisting with day-to-day office requirements.
  • Coordinating the team's health and safety administration and compliance requirements.
  • Contractor pre-qualification.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve administrative processes and efficiency.
What we're looking for:
  • At least three years' experience in business administration or a similar role.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Confidence using Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and other office software.
  • Previous experience with Orion software would be an advantage but is not essential.
  • A proactive, can-do attitude and a strong sense of personal ownership.
  • The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • A customer-focused approach and a genuine enjoyment of working with people.
  • Accuracy, attention to detail, and confidence working with financial and compliance information.
