Job summary

Rambøll is seeking a HV Technical Scope Manager to lead multinational teams in delivering high‑voltage design and engineering for substations and overhead lines. You will act as a primary client interface, manage scope, and drive value across projects in a dynamic environment.

Based in Norway, you will mentor engineers, coordinate with cross-disciplinary teams, and safeguard schedules and budgets while advancing Ramboll’s Net Zero commitments.

Qualifications

• Master’s or PhD in electrical engineering or related field.
• Extensive experience in HV/EHV substation or overhead line design, specification, and project execution.
• Demonstrated leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills; ability to collaborate across countries and disciplines.
• Strong understanding of electrical transmission system design, SCADA, protection, HV cables, and interfaces to other systems.
• Experience in client-facing roles, with a track record of building trust and delivering value.
• Proficiency in Norwegian and English, both written and spoken.
• Project management certification (e.g., PMI) is an advantage, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary project teams, including local and global experts, to deliver high-quality HV design and engineering solutions.
• Act as a key client interface—ensure clear scope understanding and build long-term partnerships.
• Oversee tendering activities, contract negotiations, and stakeholder management.
• Coordinate with buildings, transport, environment, water, and management consulting for integrated solutions.
• Manage technical and commercial aspects of projects, aligning with schedules and budgets.
• Mentor and develop junior engineers across borders to foster collaboration.
• Support site and field activities, including follow-up and quality assurance.
