Job summary

Paperbox is seeking a Business Development Manager (Insurance) to open and grow strategic relationships with Dutch insurers, volmachten, service providers and large broker groups. You will combine hunting with relationship building, guiding prospects from initial conversation to signed partnerships.

Based in the Netherlands with remote-first work and regular travel to customers and industry events, you will collaborate with Account Executives, Marketing, Customer Success and Product, and with

Qualifications

• Several years of business development or enterprise sales experience in the Dutch insurance or financial services market.
• Experience with complex buying cycles involving IT, compliance and procurement.
• Proven track record of opening new accounts and hitting targets.
• Fluent Dutch and English, spoken and written.
• Entrepreneurial, self-starting attitude and a team-player mindset.
• Experience selling SaaS, AI or automation solutions.
• Knowledge of Dutch insurance core systems and broker software.

Responsibilities

• Identify, open and develop strategic accounts among Dutch insurers, volmachten and large broker groups.
• Build relationships with operations, claims and IT leaders and with C-level decision-makers.
• Lead longer, multi-stakeholder sales cycles from first contact to contract.
• Build account plans and maintain a reliable pipeline and forecast in HubSpot.
• Strengthen our position with core system and software partners in the Dutch market.
• Co-sell with Adlib's enterprise team and partner network.
• Represent Paperbox at Dutch industry events, round tables and networking moments.
• Translate market trends and regulatory developments into a sharp Dutch value proposition.
• Share customer insights with Product to help shape our roadmap.
• Work with Marketing on campaigns, events and thought-leadership content for the Dutch market.
